If you look at the names of manufacturers of Cosmetic products that are marketed in Korea, it is easy to find the name "Cosmax." As of 2016, the number of Cosmax cosmetics product units manufactured in Korea and overseas exceeded 600 million. In fact, one out of thirteen people all over the world use Cosmax's cosmetics products. The buyers of Cosmax’s products around the world include 600 brands in 100 different countries.

Since the earliest days of the company, Cosmax has always emphasized the importance of overseas markets, as well as the domestic market. As a result of this focus, Cosmax has achieved something that has been impossible for many other ODM companies in Korea: providing our products to global companies. Our brands cover a wide spectrum, ranging from high-priced luxury brands to more moderate brands. As for the destinations of our products, we have gone far beyond the Asian market, as our products are sold all over the world, including Europe and the United States.

Our vision of growth is to enter the global market through globalization. Already, Cosmax collaborates with more global companies than any other company in Korea. Our markets cover not only Asia but also Europe and America, both of which can lay claim to the title “the birthplace of cosmetics.” In terms of expansion to the global market, we have seen remarkable achievements as a Korean company, as well. One of the most remarkable of those is China.

In 2004, Cosmax became the first Korean ODM company to expand to the Chinese market. Since then, we have been recognized as the indisputable No. 1 ODM company in Chinese market, which has grown 4 ~ 50% of market growth per annum for the last decade. In addition to this quantitative growth, we were recognized for our product quality with one of the most prestigious prizes in China, the Blue Rose Quality Award. Also, we have been the focus of keen attention since we acquired the Indonesian and American factories of the L group, which are the largest factories of their kind in the entire world. Our businesses with the L group also resulted in remarkable achievements, with our company being selected as one of the key suppliers after outperforming many competitors from around the world. In such a favorable environment, we have been expanding our supply to global cosmetics brands.

Because Cosmax believes that it is essential to provide our customers with products of the highest quality, the notion 'quality first' is always emphasized. In order to develop cosmetic products that can be used by everyone, we have been operating specialized laboratories for each area.
We have established our R&I Center in Pangyo, under which there are 5 specialized laboratories for skin care, make-up, advanced tech, safety & regulatory, global. In total, there are around 350 staff members working in Cosmax’s R&I centers around the world. Of these staff members, more than 30% are full-time employees. To strengthen our commitment to Research and Development, we are making various efforts from many angles, including investing 5% or more of our revenue into R&D to enhance the quality of our products. These moves, including building research facilities that meet global standards, also represent our commitment to being the best partner for our customers, and realizing the beauty that our customers dream of achieving.
In this regard, Cosmax has been researching the laws and regulations on cosmetics in many countries in line with the increase in the global activities of our customers, so that the Korean cosmetics industry can expand into the world.

To accomplish this, we are planning to invest even more than the previous year in research, production, and Q/C as well. We believe a continued investment in R&D is the only way that we can reach a level that can surpass the needs of our customers. We will use various natural resources of other countries as the raw materials for cosmetics, while developing a good source of quality raw materials to ensure stabilized provision and reduction of the cost. As we can see, the name Cosmax is now widely known among global companies and in the global luxury product market. Our research efforts continue today, so that we can be the leader of the world's ODM cosmetics industry.
