Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde could be released from other preservatives and remained as impurity in finished products

It can cause Skin irritation with contacting in relatively small amount. COSMAX strictly prohibited to us formaldehyde and/or formaldehyde releasing ingredients

1,4-dioxane

In certain surfactants, 1,4-dioxane can be formed as a by-product during the ethoxylation / sulfation process, in post-ethoxylation reactions. It may induce inflammation.

We intensively manage surfactants by checking for the presence or absence of 1,4-dioxane.

BTX, Phthalate

Carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic BTX is used as a processed pigment solvent for containers, and phthalates are also used as plasticizers in plastic products.

COSMAX inspects packaging materials to rule out potential risk. As ingredients may elute from the container into the contents and be absorbed through the skin.
